Fiona Cosgrove – National General Manager of The Golden Door Australia
Fiona oversees all The Golden Door properties with an eye for what is working well and how we can constantly improve our program and care for our guests.
As a leader in the fitness, health and wellness fields, Fiona has more than 25 years experience; her knowledge and credentials cover a wide scope within these industries. Fiona has owned and managed one of Australia's leading fitness clubs in Sydney CBD and is also a profiled university lecturer.
Fiona is also a Life and Wellness Coach where she has trained over 500 fitness professionals since 2007 in the theory of wellness coaching and the skills required to help people with the challenges of making lifestyle behaviour changes.
As a sought after corporate speaker for both national and international conference engagements, Fiona has regularly presented topics in the areas of motivation, stress management and work/life balance, as well as organising executive wellness coaching, seminars and training for blue chip companies. Fiona holds master’s degrees in Exercise Science and in Counselling.
Andrea Baker - Program Manager - The Golden Door Health Retreat Queensland
Leading the team of health professionals at The Golden Door Health Retreat Queensland, Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having managed a Personal Training and Pilates studio on the Gold Coast for many years. The Golden Door’s original ‘pocket rocket’, Andrea will have you motivated and moving.
David Ball - Physical Education Manager - The Golden Door Health Retreat Queensland
David is a qualified teacher and exercise physiologist who specialises in physical and emotional wellness through the lifespan. Before coming to The Golden Door David ran his own business in retirement communities and is known for his love of people and nature.
Shirley Kalnins - Medical Practitioner - The Golden Door Health Retreat Queensland
As our onsite registered nurse since 2002, Shirley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge including a Graduate Diploma Education Degree and a Masters of Nursing Degree specialising in hormones. It is her belief that preventative medicine is the way of the future and health promotion plays an extremely huge role in this process.
