The Golden Door Health Retreat Queensland

Offering a complete program for your total health overhaul in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland.

Your Questions

How long should I stay?

For optimum results, our Program is 7 days from Sunday to Sunday. You can however, choose our 5 day option from Sunday to Friday. Often though, after 5 days of health, relaxation, activities and great spa cuisine, you'll find it hard to leave! Stay the extra 2 days for the weekend and enjoy the benefits of your week even further - you'll be glad you did.

Will I feel comfortable if I come alone?

Yes, in fact many guests come to The Golden Door alone. You can choose to have single accommodation or if you prefer to share, we will allocate a room mate (same sex) for you in twin share accommodation in our 2 bedroom apartments.

What treatments do you have?

Our extensive range of treatments and therapies will ensure that you receive maximum benefit and relaxation from your stay with us. Your package includes 4 treatments plus you can select additional services including the unique Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Treatment of Tranquility, acupuncture, naturopathy, myotherapy, remedial and aromatherapy massage, body scrubs and wraps, hand and foot spas, personal counseling sessions, Pilates, personal training, and tennis. Full details of treatments are provided in our Spa Menu.

Where is The Golden Door and how do I get there?

The Golden Door is located in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just 30 minutes north of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast and approx 45 minutes south of Brisbane. We provide a courtesy airport transfer from Brisbane Domestic airport at set times. Please ask us for details.

How do I prepare for my stay?

Try to reduce the amount of caffeine, alcohol and nicotine that you consume the week before your arrival. We also recommend that you bring loose, casual clothing, sport shoes that have a lugged sole and leave valuables such as jewellery at home. Please note that The Golden Door is a non-smoking property and no alcohol is permitted.

Can I bring my mobile phone?

One of the great things about spending time at our retreat, is that you can enjoy some time out from the constant noise and contact of the real world. It is for this very purpose that we request you do not use a mobile phone when you are visiting us. If it is in the comfort of your own room, you may of course use your phone to check messages or make calls; however we do ask that you consider your fellow room-mate if you are sharing with someone.

This means mobile phones are not permitted to be used outside of your room at the Retreat. This will allow you to gain greater benefit from your stay, and ensures other guests can also spend some time away from the outside world and the constant ringing of phones. If you have any queries regarding mobile phone usage, please call us or speak with the Program Director upon arrival.

Do you have EFTPOS facility?

We have EFTPOS facilities (but NO cash out facility) and accept all major credit cards. Cheques may only be used when they have been authorised by management and guaranteed by a credit card.

Can children visit the retreat?

The minimum age for guests is 16 years.

Are pets allowed at the retreat?

Unfortunately the retreat does not allow pets.
