Your delicious healthy breakfast, inspired by our Executive Chef James Knight will feature the finest local produce and executed by award winning chefs.

Our guest speaker is leading performance and productivity expert Andrew May presenting on how to be ‘Match-fit for Work and Life’. For the past 15-years Andrew has worked with a variety of clients to improve individual and team performance. Andrew also delivers keynote presentations and workshops around the world, has a blog ‘Performance Matters’ for The Sydney Morning Herald and is the author of bestsellers Flip the Switch, Between Jobs, The Redundancy Survival Guide and Switched on Health and Wellbeing Professionals Volumes 1 & 2.

In today’s increasingly competitive, rapidly changing and high-pressured work environment, being ‘Match-fit’ has never been more important. Traditionally derived from competitive sport, the term Match-fit is being able to play and compete at a consistently high level.

Translated into the workplace, Match-fit means being able to continue performing at your best in an ever-changing environment – navigating disruption, digital transformation and merging demographics of the workforce. Match-fit also means being able to negate the biological decline of the body and brain post 40 years of age.

In this entertaining presentation Andrew May will:

• Explain how the way we work has changed forever;

• Outline the ‘Perfect Storm’ (Promotion into senior roles; added pressures from relationships and family life; reduction in levels of physical activity; and natural biological changes);

• Explore the science behind what gradually happens to our bodies and brains post-40 and how to grow older, younger;

• Provide you with specific take homes to work smarter, increase physical activity and daily movement, eat for energy, manage stress, increase focus and think clearer.

We are proud to be supporting The OTIS Foundation at the event. There are some sensational prizes up for grabs including a 5 night program at Golden Door valued at $3,395 on the day in our raffle to help raise much needed funds for The OTIS Foundation.

The OTIS Foundation provides retreat accommodation at no cost to those dealing with the challenges of breast cancer.  The OTIS Foundation is the only national charity dedicated to providing the gift of time and space in an environment that allows guests to relax, reconnect and create memories with their loved ones.

“…the Breakfast reminded me of the many wonderful things I have learned at the Golden Door and motivated me to continue to incorporate these in my life. Seeing the GD team was, as always, inspirational. I walked to work feeling energized and happy – almost like a day at the GD! – Sally (Golden Door 2016 Breakfast attendee)
